I hear you. I made sure that I could afford my monthly payment, I had a large down payment, and I make extra payments to my mortgage every month. I don't think it is fair that we are responsible for their mistakes either. BTW, I'm only 21 and I am still being responsible about money and debt.

You are exactly right. The reason you and I pay is bc we give a darn about our stuff and we don't ever want anyone to have leverage on us. Remember not fulfilling responsibilities limits your outs in the future.

I second that motion. I wanted to get a house this year and now I don't see it happening now. the prices are right and the lenders are tight. The greediness of the lending industry has really screwed us all.
