i schedule my mortgage payment for Sept. 30th...it was for a one time transaction, not the ones were it's automatic drafts....i spoke to a represenative three days a ago over the phone. it was clearly and repeatedly said the funds will be drafted on the Sept. 30th....on friday the 12th (sept.) the funds was already drafted. can they do that???? i also set another schedule payment, just a one time for Oct. 31st. i want to call the mortgage company and tell them to canel. will they do it???? or once it's set for schedule they can't stop. so my question is. if i ask them to cancel the Oct. 31st schedule draft. will they do it, w/out giving me a hard time????

Yes they will and Don't let them say that they can't.And yes they can go in before you tell them too, however for good customer service they should have reversed that for you and that they can do as well.

Katt is right......they can go in ealier, once you give them that approval for "one time", they can do it. However, they can also reverse it. Did you call them on it? I would call them and cancel the draft set for Oct. 31st. Typically if you call them 5-7 days ahead of time, they can stop the payment from coming out, so you have plenty of time. I wouldn't do that anymore if it were me. They would get their payment via a different method. Hope it all works out for you.
