The first thing you need to do is contact your lender and discover what options they offer to help you stay in your home. They do not want to foreclose on you and are likely very willing to work with you to find a solution to keep you in your home.

Also, there are many good strategies available to help keep you in your home. You can discuss options with your bank such as reinstatement, repayment plan, re-finance (if you caught it early enough), Loan Modification, Loan Forbearance, Partial Claim (if you have an FHA loan), or perhaps even a Sale and Leaseback.

These are options for staying in your home. If you have no option but to dispose of your home, there are several possible strategies for that as well.
