Default Help would be awesome

I got served two days ago.

I am in Indiana

My loan was with GMAC but I do not recognize the lender in the complaint

Here is the deal.

Wife was doing the finances, for whatever reason she screwed up and panicked
I have 6 missed payments that I just found out about 2 days ago.

I have plenty of money to make my mortgage payment.

I have access to more than enough money to pay the missed payments in full within 72 hours.

Is there ANY way that I can contact the lender and bring this thing current? I really don't want to give up my house.

I am sorry that I don't understand all the jargon yet.

Are you telling me that if I contact the lender (not their attorney) and tell them I have cash to make up all the payments that that will reinstate the mortgage loan?
Or am I over simplifying this?

Please forgive me for being dense.

I tried to find contact information for the bank. it is the Bank of New York Mellon the number that I was able to find for them got me nowhere at all.

Included in the foireclosure paperwork was a sheet form BNY's attorney's office's Loss Mitigation Department with phone numbers telling me to contact them and they would TRY to get the bank to talk to me. Is it a good idea to talk to their attorneys myself? Is there any way that I can mess up my chances of making this right by doing so? Sorry to be such a pain here but I am obviously more than a little concerned about saving my house.

Thanks

GMAC is the servicer of your loan, BONY is the lender.

Contact GMAC you can get all the info you need
