Can foreclosure be stopped even if my sale date is in 6 days? Citi mortgage is telling me that i need to come up with 12,000 dollars to reinstate the loan. I heard of program where your loan can be reworked to add 10 more years to my loan and make my payments less.

yes, foreclosure can be stopped up until the sale and Citi has helped us in the [ast get a short time sale date postponed. A reinstatement is not a good option you need to submit for a workout. Sometimes lenders allow a term extension from a 30 to 40 year plan.

go see the judge at your county court, take the papers tell him you want to work it out and you need time to find help, the last guy i advised got a postponment of no less then 90 days, that in itself make a huge statement to the bank, if you couple that with a good loss mitigator, you most likely get your mortgage extended, just dont let anyone charge you untill the job is completed.
