Default What's my best option in a real estate agent

in buying a house I found on my own? I am in the market for a home and found one through an open house. My real estate agent, who I haven't worked with in 9 months, isn't very good. My question is, should I contact her to negotiate my offer? Should I ask an out-of-town real estate relative? Or look for a new one in town?

If she is not very good and you haven't worked with her for 9 months--->You don't owe her anything, this is too important to be careless. If you and your out- of town relative agree on the pros and cons of selling long distance and this would be of benefit to you (save you money) what do you have to loose. If you feel at all uncomfortable using a relative (BEWARE this could cause a riff in your relationship) go for a local agent, This time around you should be better equipped to INTERVIEW your prospective agent and get a GOOD one. GOOD LUCK

Contact the seller 's real estate agent yourself and ask for an offer letter!!! Keep in mind the % your real estate agent would be taking and deduct it from the offer. Make sure the sellers agent is fully aware you are working without an agent so they factor that into your offer.
