a low priced home? Me and my husband are looking for a house 3-4 hours away from where we live now. We need help from a real estate agent to find a good one, I have done tons are searching online but have not gone in person yet. The thing is that we are looking for something in the $60,000-$85,000 range since we are first time buyers. The last agent I spoke with sent me a bunch of listing for $160,000 homes, which we could never get approved for. Is there something I should be looking for in an agent when dealing with such a low price point? Should we just do our own searching and use the seller's agent?

the seller pays the agent. sounds like you've been dealing with some stuck up people. there are good agents out there. i bought a house 3 years ago for $80,000 and we had the BEST agent. i just went to one of the local companies and sat down & spoke with the first lady we saw. she was great. good luck to you!
