Our real estate agent is nowhere to be found and we may
have a buyer. What can I do to get my house sold? NY State. We've been trying to contact our realtor for the last 2 months. All we get are voicemails and answering machines. She never returns our calls and before we signed the contract, she mentioned she would be moving her office to another location, so we can't go to her office (small family owned Realtor). The contract was signed in 12/07 and I have spoken to her only once after that and not at all since February. I also have reason to believe she's not even listing our property because I can't find it among houses for sale when I do online searches. Now we may have a found a buyer who was introduced to us by a friend (not the realtor). This buyer is interested in the property if the price is right, but she's also in a rush (as am I to sell). I no longer wish to do business with this realtor and my first instinct is to wait until the time ends on the contract before continuing on with this buyer. I'd also like to know how to terminate the contract and how best to proceed.
