...estate agent, and you find the buyer, should you get a finders fee? We might run an ad in a specialty magazine featuring our horse property. We have an agent, but they are not running an ad in that magazine. If we get a buyer from the ad (we paid for), should we be able to deduct a finders fee? If I remember correctly, a finders fee is 10% of a 3% commission, right?

Default Finders fee for finding a buyer

it all depends on the state. be sure you get a contract and get the details in writing. We hate to see transactions go bad because not enough detail in the contract. Cover your bases
