...shortsale home affect my credit? Hello,I have excellent credit score, I am currently shortsaling my home and the deal closes on 2/21/12 and my realtor told me that if I did not have to make the last payment of my mortgage because it takes about 1 month for my missing payment to show on my credit, and since I am closing on 2/21/12 it would not affect my credit. Please let me know, i am very confused, and definetely do not want to mess my credit more a the end. Thank you.I know that my score will drop considerably because of the shortsale, but I do not want to be considered delinquent on top of that! It takes much more time to recover from that, and if I did not care about it, I would have just be delinquent from the beginning of the process and save tons of money.
