I am looking into buying my first home in a few months and I already have my heart set on a specific house. It doesnt really need repairs but it has an unfinished basement and an unfenced yard. Is there a type of mortgage I can get that will allow me to finance the cost to finish the basement and fence the yard? Also, the house is a foreclosure selling for $54,000 but last sold for $99,000 so I know I wouldnt be investing more than the home is worth. Anyone have experience with this?
