Default Can i force the sale of a house, name not on...

...deed or mortgage? I'm not here to be judged, just for a lil advice. My ex and i were together for 6 years. i have worked for 5 of those 6 years. In Jan 2010, we purchased out first home. We put $10,000 down, which I paid half, i used the money from a settlement. Mortgage was paid from our joint account for the last 21 months. My name is not on the deed nor the mortgage. I helped him pay off his credit with my income tax. My name isn't on the mortgage b/c we got a better interest rate w/ just him. He said after a year that he would add me to the deed, never happened. He recently got a restraining order on me, so i was forced out of the home. I have been living with a friend for the last 2 weeks. I also filled out all of the loan applications for him, all he did was sign his name. He also had to provide a letter stating why he had outstanding balances on his credit, i wrote that, then typed it for him. All he did was proofread and email the letter. Can i force the sale of the house even though my name is not on it? i spoke to my lawyer, who is not a real estate attorney and she said that I could. I just want some other opinions. So, can I?ex-boyfriend
