Default what does it mean when mortgage lender asks for

rebuttals? Okay we are selling our home and the guy who is buying it is a bit complicated. the mortgage comapny has asked the broker for rebuttals and they have already been submitted but my question would be. Does submitting rebuttals mean the laon has been denied and they are giving the broker a chance to argue it?Or does that mean the appraisal came back lower than asking price for home and broker is trying to get them to change their minds?
