Default Can I sue my mortgage company?

I fell one month behind on my mtg, called the mtg co to see if I could get help. I was given a new payment amount, was told that I qualified and that I didn't have to make mtg payments till the (Obama Modification was complete) the same day in November 2010 I sent all they told me to send. 4 days later I called, they said they didn't get paperwork so I sent it again and waited another week.Again they tell me they didn't get my paperwork. So the 3rd time I bought a delivery confirmation slip from USPS and waited for another week. When I called I got the same story at this point I was getting angry, but again this time I faxed the paperwork to them. Then 4 days later I got a letter telling me that they changed their mind and were not going to do the modification, by this time I am further behind and don't know what to do. I call them, they tell me they can do an in house modification, give me my payment amounts, this time they get my account # and tell me as long as I make my new payments for 3mo it will become final and I will get the paperwork to finalize the mod.I got a confirmation # for Feb, March and April and approve for them to take my payments out. Then approx 1mo later after they had given me payment confirmations I get a registered letter in the mail and find out they had started foreclosure, Now I am really confused and scared, I have MS and live on a little over $1000mo and just don't know what else to do. I have called them Feb 4th, 11th, 18th and had to leave msg, no one will call me back and in between that time I also wrote to them and of course got no response from that either. Any suggestions, HELP.
