That completely depends on the person.I don't mind living very minimalistic, so my expenses aren't very muchAverage monthly expenses, split between my boyfriend and I...Rent - $1000Food - $400Transportation (we mostly walk, and sometimes take transit) - $50Internet, phone & hydro (all other utilities, even cable are included in our rent) - $50Entertainment/Clothes/Other stuff - $200So, we can live off $1,700/month ($850/month each), and we bring in a hell of a lot more than that.We don't have any pets, we don't smoke, or party, or do anything "luxurious" at this time in our life... but we're both happy with our financial situation, as we are able to save lots and not have to stress later in life.
