...Florida? Buying a home in Tampa, FL. Home needs a new roof and the seller is giving us credit for it. We plan on getting it within 2 months on living there (because HOA has to approve roof color and material). But realtor says we will probably not be able to get insurance thus won't be able to get the mortgage without it passing wind mitigation. Is there anyway around this?Obviously having the seller do it now is not what we want as we wish to upgrade the roof.
