Default If the lender wants a 9 percent yield, how

much should the mortgage be discounted? Mortgage for $250,000 is made at 6 percent interest for 20 years. If the lender wants a 9 percent yield, how much should the mortgage be discounted? This is all the information provided for a Real Estate assignment.I believe they want you to look at it from the lenders point of view.

Do you think that perhaps you should think about your question and ask it again later, when you have thought it through.Edit.If I am understanding your question, if the mortgagee wants 9 percent yield then the interest will have to be increased to at least 9 percent, probably a tad more to take care of admin costs. At the moment they are only getting 6 percent
