I live in MO, and many brokers have their offices in their homes. I don't think there's any kind of ruling about where you locate your office. You have to be an agent before you can be a broker. Some states require 1 or 2 years minimum as an agent before you can take the test to be a broker. So you'll be able to find out everything you need to know during the time you're an agent.
