what should i do if my mortgage broker lied to...
...me? my loan officer gave me a pre approval letter for $150,000 knowing i had a voluntary repo on my credit report in april of 2005, it shows as a charge off/ collection . an offer has been accepted on a home of my choice and i already signed a loan contingency, but now my loan officer tells me unless that charge off is deleted from my credit report or paid escrow will not close. but why did she tell me i could get a home loan knowing i had that repo. what should i do ? i already gave a $ 2,500 deposit on my house and paid $ 450 for an appraisal, i dont have any money to pay off that repo, why didnt she tell me that i was going to have to settle that charge off, if i knew this was going to happen i would have never went through with the loan process. last week i asked her if the repo would be an issue in order to close escrow and she told me no, that she would take care of it. should i cancel the whole thing and sue her for my deposit money? please help!
