If a friend wants to gift me money to pay off my
mortgage is it better to set up a mortgage with her or not? I am in a foreclosure situation. My friend wants to gift me the money to pay it off so I am not out on the street. My husband wants to set up a mortgage with her with interest. What is the best way to go about this for all considered? She said she wants it to be a gift. I would like to pay her back but another mortgage situation scares me. I hate to seem ungrateful but whats the best for all?
