Could I be approved for a 190,000...

...mortgage? My fiance and I are looking into buying a home..We will be first time home buyers..he makes around 50,000 a year. we have two car loans out owe around 16,000 no other debts. if we couldn't get approved for that much how much do you think??? and do we need a down payment with a first time home buyer loan?
