Mortgage question about web bill pay?
I have an existing mortgage. The bank I was paying my monthly payments to sold the mortgage to another bank. They didn't notify me of the change. Well, my payments were sent automatically each month via web bill pay. The old bank didn't send the payments to the new bank. The old bank also didn't refund my money. I contacted my bank that sent out the monthly payments. They provided me with confirmation numbers, so that I could reference my payments to my old bank. I supplied my old bank with the confirmation numbers. My old bank is stating that they refused and reversed those payments. Now I'm stuck between my old bank and the bank that sent out the electronic payments. My money is in limbo. What can I do?
