Default I would like to purchase stocks or mutual
funds that bet against sub prime mortgage lenders. Any suggestions?

I suggest you should have had that thought about three years ago.That play is washed out. I'd be looking at the reverse.

Well, you can shortsell the banks, or "purchase" a bear ETF on banks... or buy a lot of put orders...Lol, have fun with that.(you'll lose lots of money)

Buy Owens Mortgage Investment Fund. It's never lost money except for last month. It provides my friend with a steady income.
