I was late on my July mortgage payment. I paid it on 8/7 at the local branch. On 8/4 I received a letter from my mortgage company co saying that I was in default and they may have someone come out to inspect the property and charge me for it! This is the first I have ever been late on my mortgage! Is this true or a scare tactic? I am with Chase.
