Default So did betting against subprime mortgages
with CDOs turn out to be a good investment after all? All that AIG bailout money is getting paid to SOMEBODY, isn't it?

It is a win-win for AIG. If the bet turns out to be good they make insane profits. If the bet turns out bad, they are too big to fail and the government bails them out.
