Default Is the mortgage broker fee deductibe?

I just bought my first house in July so I am finally itemizing instead taking the standard deduction. Since I bailed on my first mortgage broker a week before settlement, the credit inquiries by my second mortgage broker dropped my middle credit score under 720, I was told that I had to pay .5 point fee. This fee shows up on the HUD-1 on line item 810 as mortgage broker fee and not in loan origination fee or loan discount line. I was wondering if this "fee" I had to pay is tax deductible. Thanks for your help!
