Default I am not able to pay my mortgage, how honest...

...should I be with my lender? I am no longer living in my home, cannot make the mortgage and have moved out. the home is listed for a short sale and the bank is very aware. How honest should i be with my lender about moving out of the house and that I am not able to make the mortgage any longer? I want to be completely open with them, who can I talk to for advice?? Lawyer, real estate agent, or just call the bank.

Be very honest with the bank. They don't want to foreclose but not paying or living there isn't helping you either. See the mortgage officer
