Default Unpaid property taxes on mortgage defaulted

homes? My father owns 2 properties in Florida, one he currently lives in and the other I live in. He has recently decided to file for bankruptcy but he is being told by the bankruptcy lawyer that he can "extend" the process to allow more time for us to save money in order to move elsewhere. In order to extend the process he is asking $400.00 a month for each property, plus I have to pay $200 in assoc. I told my father that it doesn't make sense for me to pay $600 a month on a property that will be lost anyway. He keeps telling me that if he doesn't pay the property taxes then his wages will be garnished or other type of repercussion. What happens if he decides to file bankruptcy on the house he lives in but not in the one I live in? I do not want to hurt my father by causing more trouble, but I am also looking out for my money. Please help!
