Default How hard to find work as a mortgage broker w/no

experience? I am thinking about becoming a mortgage broker, but have no experience. If I took some classes and got a license, how hard would it be for me to find work? I live in Texas...

I only know CA rules. In CA you need to get your real estate sales persons license and have it for 2 years (?) before you can get the borkers license. When you have your broker's license, you're the boss. More or less. Assuming you have your sales person license....

You'd be better off starting out as an assistant to someone. I wouldn't hire you without experiance or a portfolio (loans currently in process). I've worked with loan officers with no experiance, usually a nightmare.
