Nichole...Sorry you got such a short curt answer that was not really helpful.
For reference, I am a Mortgage Banker in Utah and have been in Real Estate and Lending for 12 years. The minimum requirement for FHA currently is 580 HOWEVER Most lenders have additional requirements that are beyond what FHA requires...and since they make the final decision as to whether to do the loan or not, its really their rule that matters. FHA only insures the loan, whereas the Lender funds it. I only know of one lender currently that lends below 620. Their name is 1st Mortgage. Other than that you will be looking at a minimum of 620 for pretty much anyone else that I am aware of. Hope this was more helpful. Corey Vandenberg Utah Mortgage Team Major Mortgage
