request through Chase was denied? We've been in our home for 13 years and have a 30 yr mortgage. We've run into some hard times and are having problems paying our mortgage. We were 1 month behind but now caught up. We've applied for a loan modification and after going through the whole process we were denied. The reason being our income hasn't gone down and our expenses haven't increased...or so they say. When we bought our house I was working for a large corporation and we had awesome health ins. Now my hubby and I are both self employed and pay our own insurance with a $5000 ded plus lots of other expenses. We just got the denial letter in the mail today and Chase is closed til Tues. so I thought before I talk with them on Tues, I'd like your feedback about some other options. Rumor has it that if you miss 2 payments they'll start working with you???
