We are with many American laid off and struggling. We never have been late, we have missed the last 3 payments. The mortgage company has been dragging their feet in helping us with a loan modification project. Yesterday they called and said they are giving us 30 days to vacate the premiss's. I need help understanding what are my options and my rights. Can they kick me out so fast?I understand and I am willing to accept that I have to move but I need some time a few month at least to find a place i can afford. The bank has not sent me any letter indicating their intention to foreclose or any formal or legal letter indicating that they are foreclosing. So far all I have received is late payment letters and a call in where they tell me to pay then in the same sentence they tell me to move out in 30 days. All I want is to understand my fair time and how fast they can kick me out.
