I have lived in my home for four years with three other people, my niece, my husband and my mother. My mother passed passed away in 8/2006., my husband passed away in 12/2008, my niece moved back to Chicago in 2/2008. I am here and living on my husbands social security every month along with his pension. My situation changed beginning in 12/2008 when my husband died, with his income and my social security we were barely getting by and able to make our monthly mortgage payments. Since we moved in, 5/2004, we have never been late on our mortgage payment. I am now 30 days late, I wasn't able to pay my 8/2008 mortgage, I have spoken with Chase and informed them at the beginning of August that I would be late.
