Default Countrywide forclosure help

I was in an ARM and refinanced to a FHA 30 year fixed @ 6%, but my payments were $1,933 and too much for me to handle. I refinanced with the FHA streamline and they lowered it to $1,833. Unfortunately, medical expenses came into the flow with me and my daughter. Also, hardship hit me hard when my home was vandalised and I had to pay $1300 to replace my bedroom window. Countrywide placed me in a payment program that was not good and things have been extremely difficult since. I'm currently $4400 in arrears (Oct, Nov payment and currently December) I mailed them a $1000 on the 1st of December. My mortgage company is countrywide.
