My husband loss his job, through outsourcing, so we refinanced our home at the height of high home values. But the extreme increases in property tax & home owners insurance, along with my high medical bills, and the high cost of everyday living expenses, has put us in a position of not being able to pay the large mortgage payment. I have been contacting Bank of America since Jan 2008, before we were behind looking for a solution to the impending financial situation we saw coming on. I have not received any real call backs or counseling service from the bank in all these months. My husband has gotten a job and I have received a small inheritance from my mother. I believe with a loan modification, we could save the bank and ourselves the agony of foreclosure. I have a degenerative joint disease that is much less painful in the warm weather. I just had a total hip replacement on Nov 14th and hopefully, wiill be ready for a total knee replacement on Dec. 26th. Having both surgeries in 2008 saves me the out-of-pocket and deductables on my insurance. All of these things combined are very stressful on my condition, and I want to be able to work out something with the bank and save my home.
